Introducing
Heir Of All The Ages
The Flutes & Frets Duo’s debut album
Recorded in November 2024, we were joined by sound engineer Oscar Torres who brought this project to life at SJE Arts in Oxford
The last track of the disc is a brand new commission from composer and fiddler Seth Bye called Bridge 12 written in 2024 - find out more about Seth and the process behind the commission here
Our debut album presents a chronological selection of British music from the renaissance period to modern day on historically-appropriate instruments
“I really really love this recording. I think it’s the variety across the instrumentation, the styles, the tonal palettes - it really is a journey through time. It’s really varied on the one hand and yet as a listener through the whole thing it’s really seamless. There’s something that pulls you right through those different changing styles and palettes and there are so many musical gems and moments that are really quite different.” - Kirsten Gibson on BBC Radio 3’s Record Review
